and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and

intents of the heart."

2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17

the rock in pieces?"

ISAIAH 55:10-11

"For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither,

but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to

the sower, and bread to the eater:

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto

me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing

whereto I sent it."

of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the Lord

are true and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter

also than honey and the honeycomb.

11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is

great reward."

according to thy word.

10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy

11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee."

PSALM 119:97-106

"O how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day.

98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies:

for they are ever with me.

99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are

my meditation.

100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

101 I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

102 I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.

103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! Yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

106 I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments."

PSALM 119:127-133

128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right;

and I hate every false way.

129 Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.

130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

131 I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments.

132 Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those

that love thy name.

133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me."

endureth forever."

PSALM 119:162-165

"I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

163 I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love.

164 Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.

165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them."

PSALM 119:170-175

173 Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.

174 I have longed for thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my delight.

175 Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me."

"For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs

of instruction are the way of life."

God Commands.

God commands mankind; to be transformed into his image, by reading

the Word of God.

ROMANS 12:1-2

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present

your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your

reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing

of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect,

will of God."

God commands mankind; to attend to his Word.

"Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the Lord he is God;

there is none else beside him.

36 Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee:

and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out

of the midst of the fire."

NEHEMIAH 9:18-20

"Yea, when they had made them a molten calf, and said, This is thy God

that brought thee up out of Egypt, and had wrought great provocations;

19 Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness:

the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way;

neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way wherein they

should go.

20 Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy

manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst."

MATTHEW 6:25-33

"Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat,

or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the

life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap,

nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.

Are ye not much better than they?

27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field,

how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not

arrayed like one of these.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is,

and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you,

O ye of little faith?

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? Or,

What shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly

Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all

these things shall be added unto you."

"Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.

2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law."

PROVERBS 4:20-22

"My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh."

"My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:

2 That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge."

 "Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words

of my mouth."

God Warns.

God warns mankind not to neglect, or forsake his Word.

PROVERBS 1:24-33

"Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and

no man regarded;

25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a

whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early,

but they shall not find me:

29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:

30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with

their own devices.

32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity

of fools shall destroy them.

33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet

from fear of evil."

"Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of

my mouth.

8 Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:

9 Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:

10 Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house

of a stranger;

11 And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,

12 And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;

13 And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to

them that instructed me!"

"He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth

reproof erreth."

"Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth

reproof shall die."

Jesus is always asking people, of their knowledge of the scriptures.

"Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which

the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the

Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?"

MATTHEW 22:31-32

"But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which

was spoken unto you by God, saying,

32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."

MATTHEW 22:36-46

"Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,

and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,

42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? Whose son is he? They say unto him,

The son of David.

43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,

44 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine

enemies thy footstool?

45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

46 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from

that day forth ask him any more questions."

MATTHEW 26:51-54

"And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand,

and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote

off his ear.

52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all

they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently

give me more than twelve legions of angels?

54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?"

MARK 12:18-27

"Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection;

and they asked him, saying,

19 Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife

behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife,

and raise up seed unto his brother.

20 Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying

left no seed.

21 And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the

third likewise.

22 And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.

23 In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she

be of them? For the seven had her to wife.

24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye

know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given

in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

26 And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses,

how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the

God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err."

Spiritual Armour.

God instructs all, to wear the full armour of God - at all times.

The Word, The Bible is one of the pieces of the armour.

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the

wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities,

against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against

spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able

to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on

the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench

all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the

word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching

thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."

Who Will Win?

satan can win and rule over you, if you are ignorant of the Bible.

Eve was deceived by satan.

"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord

God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not

eat of every tree of the garden?"

The result of Eve's ignorance and neglect of the Bible, caused her removal

from; the Garden of Eden.

GENESIS 3:13-23

"And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done?

And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this,

thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field;

upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed

and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy

conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall

be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of

thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying,

Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy

sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat

the herb of the field;

19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground;

for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and

clothed them.

22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know

good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree

of life, and eat, and live forever:

23 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the

ground from whence he was taken."

Lack of Knowledge.

God warns all that lack of knowledge (lack of; The Word); will destroy you.

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."

You must study the scriptures and live intelligently, on a daily basis.

2 TIMOTHY 2:15

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth

not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Intelligent Christians know they are; to live on the Word.

"All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe

to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which

the Lord sware unto your fathers.

And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these

forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what

was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna,

which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee

know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth

out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live."

"Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command

that these stones be made bread.

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by

every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."

Grow Up.

Christians are to be maturing and growing up, as they read and do; The Word.

ROMANS 10:17

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

MATTHEW 7:24-27

"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken

him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat

upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall

be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat

upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it."

1 PETER 2:1-2

"Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies,

and all evil speakings,

2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow

"Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children,

but in understanding be men."

Christians must continue in God's Word until; they depart the earth.

JOHN 8:31-32

"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue

in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Christians are to keep God's Word until; they depart the earth.

LUKE 11:27-28

"And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of

the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the

womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.

28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God,

and keep it."

God's Word.

God's Word is; eternal and everlasting.

"The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall

stand forever."

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."
