"THE MANIFESTATION OF THE SPIRIT IS

GIVEN TO EVERY MAN; TO PROFIT WITHAL."

1 CORINTHIANS 12:7

God is the one who chooses and places his Governmental Leadership,

within the Church.

This Governmental Leadership consist of; Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist,

Pastor and Teacher. These individuals are assigned to do; the work of

Ministry, while perfecting the Saints of God.

1 CORINTHIANS 12:28

“And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily

prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings,

helps, governments, diversities of tongues.”

EPHESIANS 4:11-12

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some,

evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry,

for the edifying of the body of Christ.”

God has placed “some” in the Church. The Bible tells us that many

are “Called” – but few are “Chosen.”

MATTHEW 22:14

“For many are called, but few are chosen.”

The Bible reveals to us – that we must depart iniquity, and purge

ourselves from sin – therefore becoming a chosen -useful tool in the

hands of Almighty God; for his purpose alone.

2 TIMOTHY 19-21

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this

seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let everyone that

nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of

silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and

some to dishonour.

21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a

vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use,

and prepared unto every good work.”

There are many “leaders” in the Church, which God has never

placed. These people appointed themselves. Jesus warns all people

about them.

MATTHEW 7:15

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing,

but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”

MATTHEW 24:4

“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man

deceive you.”

MATTHEW 24:11

“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”

MATTHEW 24:24-25

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall

shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible,

they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.”

MARK 13:5

“And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man

deceive you.”

The Christian believer must read and study the Word of God daily,

in order to not enter into deception; which destroys the human life

and the human’s eternity.

MATTHEW 4:4

“It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word

that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

MATTHEW 6:11

“Give us this day our daily bread.”

LUKE 11:3

“Give us day by day our daily bread.”

Christian believers who do not abide and remain in the doctrine of

Christ (The Word – The Bible); have not God.

2 JOHN 1:9

“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of

Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ,

he hath both the Father and the Son.”

Christian believers who do not read, study and obey the Word;

will be cut off by God.

EXODUS 12:15

“Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye

shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth

leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul

shall be cut off from Israel.”

EXODUS 12:19-20

“Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for

whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall

be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a

stranger, or born in the land.

20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye

eat unleavened bread.”

Apostle.

1 CORINTHIANS 12:28

“And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily

prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings,

helps, governments, diversities of tongues.”

EPHESIANS 4:11

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some,

evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers.”

Greek Word - Apostolos.

Meaning – One sent forth; with orders.

There were twelve original apostles in the Bible.

Simon, Andrew, James, John, Philip, Thaddeus, Bartholomew,

Thomas, James, Matthew, Simon The Canaanite, Judas Isacariot.

These chosen Apostles gave up everything to follow Jesus.

They spent their lives building; the Kingdom of God – on earth.

MATTHEW 19:27-29

“Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken

all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?

28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which

have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit

in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones,

judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

29 And everyone that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters,

or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's

sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.”

MARK 10:28-30

“Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have

followed thee.

29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no

man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or

mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,

30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and

brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with

persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.”

Apostles are people who “Pioneer” a work under Almighty God,

Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

Paul is an example of an Apostle.

ROMANS 1:1

“Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle,

separated unto the gospel of God,”

Prophet.

1 CORINTHIANS 12:28

“And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily

prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of

healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.”

EPHESIANS 4:11

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some,

evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers.”

Greek Word - Prophētēs.

Meaning – God’s spokesman.

The Prophets in the Bible are;

Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah,

Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah,

Malachi, Elijah, Elisha, Gad, Micaiah, Nathan, Samuel, John the

Baptist, John the Revelator, Agubus, Anna, Barnabas, Paul the

Apostle.

Prophets spoke the direct will of God to others. They were deeply

loved by God, and often greatly persecuted and killed.

Prophets speak forth warnings to bring repentance and reformation;

they speak to secure salvation to the hearer.

Teacher.

Greek Word - Didaskalos.

Meaning – One who instruct others concerning the things of God,

and the duties of man.

All of the five offices of God’s Governmental Leadership engage in

teaching; The Word of God.

EVANGELIST.

EPHESIANS 4:11

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some,

evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers.”

Greek Word - Euaggelistēs.

Meaning – One who magnifies Jesus in society; including the

preaching of; The Word of God.

Evangelists bring awareness of Christ to society, in their unique

Kingdom Assignment; as ordained and created by Almighty God.

Philip is an example of an evangelist.

Acts 21:8

“And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and

came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the

evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him.”

Pastor.

EPHESIANS 4:11

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some,

evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers.”

Greek Word - Poimēn.

Meaning - A minister of the Gospel who has the charge of a church

and congregation, whose duty is to watch over the people of his

charge, and instruct them in the sacred doctrines of the Christian

faith; under the direction of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is very concerned about humanity; therefore he places Pastors

underneath himself; to guide, to teach and to protect the people.

MARK 6:34

“And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved

with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not

having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.”

Spiritual Gifts.

Spiritual gifts are given by; the Spirit of God to profit all people.

These gifts are given to the Officers of God’s Governmental

Leadership; as well as to the Saints within the Kingdom of God;

The Body of Christ. These gifts are given as God determines. All of

these gifts are very important. These gifts vary in form and manner;

but all are done to the profit and building of; The Body of Christ.

1 CORINTHIANS 14:12

“Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek

that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.”

1 CORINTHIANS 12:4-27

“Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God

which worketh all in all.

7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit

withal.

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another

the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of

healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to

another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues;

to another the interpretation of tongues:

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to

every man severally as he will.

12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the

members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is

Christ.

13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we

be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all

made to drink into one Spirit.

14 For the body is not one member, but many.

15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of

the body; is it therefore not of the body?

16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of

the body; is it therefore not of the body?

17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the

whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body,

as it hath pleased him.

19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?

20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.

21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee:

nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be

more feeble, are necessary:

23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less

honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our

uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the

body together, having given more abundant honour to that part

which lacked.

25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the

members should have the same care one for another.

26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it;

or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.”

1 CORINTHIANS 12:28

“And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily

prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of

healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.”

Word of Wisdom.

Greek Word - Sophia.

Meaning – Divine intelligence.

1 CORINTHIANS 12:8-10

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to

another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of

healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to

another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues;

to another the interpretation of tongues.”

The Word of Wisdom happens when God imparts to you a knowing

of something - that was missing; that brings clarity, order and

resolution to your life; or the life of another.

A Biblical Example of the Word of Wisdom is; Joseph with Pharaoh.

GENESIS 41:15-46

“And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and

there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee,

that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.

16 And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall

give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

17 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood

upon the bank of the river:

18 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine,

fat fleshed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow:

19 And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and

very ill favoured and lean fleshed, such as I never saw in all the

land of Egypt for badness:

20 And the lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the first seven

fat kine:

21 And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that

they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the

beginning. So I awoke.

22 And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one

stalk, full and good:

23 And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the

east wind, sprung up after them:

24 And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this

unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to

me.

25 And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one:

God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do.

26 The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears

are seven years: the dream is one.

27 And the seven thin and ill favoured kine that came up after

them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the

east wind shall be seven years of famine.

28 This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God

is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh.

29 Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all

the land of Egypt:

30 And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all

the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine

shall consume the land;

31 And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that

famine following; for it shall be very grievous.

32 And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is

because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring

it to pass.

33 Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise,

and set him over the land of Egypt.

34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land,

and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven

plenteous years.

35 And let them gather all the food of those good years that come,

and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food

in the cities.

36 And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven

years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land

perish not through the famine.

37 And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes

of all his servants.

38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as

this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?

39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed

thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:

40 Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall

all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than

thou.

41 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the

land of Egypt.

42 And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon

Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a

gold chain about his neck;

43 And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had;

and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler

over all the land of Egypt.

44 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee

shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

45 And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he

gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On.

And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.

46 And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh

king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh,

and went throughout all the land of Egypt.”

Word of Knowledge.

Greek Word - Gnōsis.

Meaning – Divine intelligence, understanding and knowing.

1 CORINTHIANS 12:8-10

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another

the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of

healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to

another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues;

to another the interpretation of tongues.”

The Word of Knowledge is unknown information - divinely given,

and brought forward.

A Biblical Example of the Word of Knowledge is; Jesus with the

Woman at The Well.

JOHN 4:16-19

“Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said

unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:

18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast

is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a

prophet.”

Faith.

Greek Word - Pistis.

Meaning – Faith is believing that God exists and that The Bible is

his person. Faith walks with God according to The Bible. Faith is

led by his Spirit. Faith takes courage and steps forward; on the

infallible integrity of; Almighty God.

1 CORINTHIANS 12:8-10

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another

the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of

healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to

another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues;

to another the interpretation of tongues.”

A Biblical Example of Faith is; Moses at the Red Sea.

EXODUS 14:13

“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see

the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today: for

the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again

no more forever.

14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

15 And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me?

Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the

sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground

through the midst of the sea.

17 And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and

they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and

upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

18 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have

gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his

horsemen.

19 And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel,

removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went

from before their face, and stood behind them:

20 And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp

of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light

by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the

night.

21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord

caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night,

and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon

the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their

right hand, and on their left.

23 And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst

of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his

horsemen.

24 And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the Lord looked

unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the

cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,

25 And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily:

so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for

the Lord fighteth for them against the Egyptians.

26 And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the

sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon

their chariots, and upon their horsemen.

27 And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea

returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the

Egyptians fled against it; and the Lord overthrew the Egyptians

in the midst of the sea.

28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the

horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after

them; there remained not so much as one of them.

29 But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of

the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand,

and on their left.

30 Thus the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the

Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.

31 And Israel saw that great work which the Lord did upon the

Egyptians: and the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord,

and his servant Moses.”

Healing.

Greek Word - Iama.

Meaning – Divine deliverance and restoration; from infirmity.

1 CORINTHIANS 12:8-10

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another

the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of

healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to

another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues;

to another the interpretation of tongues.”

A Biblical Example of Healing is; Naaman the Leper.

2 KINGS 5:1-14

“Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was

a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him

the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty

man in valour, but he was a leper.

2 And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought

away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited

on Naaman's wife.

3 And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the

prophet that is in Samaria! For he would recover him of his leprosy.

And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the

maid that is of the land of Israel.

5 And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto

the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents

of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.

6 And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when

this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman

my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy.

7 And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter,

that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make

alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his

leprosy? Wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh

a quarrel against me.

And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the

king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king,

saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? Let him come now

o me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.

So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood

at the door of the house of Elisha.

10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in

Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and

thou shalt be clean.

11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I

thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the

name of the Lord his God, and strike his hand over the place, and

recover the leper.

12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all

the waters of Israel? May I not wash in them, and be clean? So he

turned and went away in a rage.

13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My

father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest

thou not have done it? How much rather then, when he saith to

thee, Wash, and be clean?

14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan,

according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came

again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.”

Miracles.

Greek Word - Dynamis.

Meaning – A mighty work of power, that is divine and supernatural

(above the normal).

1 CORINTHIANS 12:8-10

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another

the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of

healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to

another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues;

to another the interpretation of tongues.”

A Biblical Example of a Miracle is; Jesus raising Lazarus from the

dead.

JOHN 11:1-45

“Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the

town of Mary and her sister Martha.

2 (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and

wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)

3 Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he

whom thou lovest is sick.

4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death,

but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified

thereby.

5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

6 When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two

days still in the same place where he was.

7 Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea

again.

8 His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to

stone thee; and goest thou thither again?

9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any

man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light

of this world.

10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is

no light in him.

11 These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our

friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of

sleep.

12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.

13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he

had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.

14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent

ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.

16 Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellow

disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.

17 Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave

four days already.

18 Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs

off:

19 And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort

them concerning their brother.

20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming,

went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.

21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here,

my brother had not died.

22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God,

God will give it thee.

23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the

resurrection at the last day.

25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that

believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.

Believest thou this?

27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the

Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

28 And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary

her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for

thee.

29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto

him.

30 Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that

place where Martha met him.

31 The Jews then which were with her in the house, and

comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and

went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep

there.

32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she

fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been

here, my brother had not died.

33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also

weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was

troubled.

34 And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord,

come and see.

35 Jesus wept.

36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

37 And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the

eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not

have died?

38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave.

It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.

39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him

that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for

he hath been dead four days.

40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou

wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead

was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank

thee that thou hast heard me.

42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the

people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou

hast sent me.

43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice,

Lazarus, come forth.

44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with

grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus

saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the

things which Jesus did, believed on him.”

1 TIMOTHY 3:1-7

“This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he

vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to

teach;

3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but

patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in

subjection with all gravity;

5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he

take care of the church of God?)

6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the

7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are

without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office

of a deacon, being found blameless.

11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober,

faithful in all things.

12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their

children and their own houses well.

13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase

to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith

which is in Christ Jesus.
