JOHN 2:5

“Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.”

I love the words of Jesus mom. She was telling the wedding feast staff, to do whatever Jesus told them to do. I wonder what our world would look like, if we really did everything Jesus asked us to do. Can you imagine the earth; under that much obedience? What a beautiful place it would be.

Maybe we could start today, by listening for Jesus. “What is Jesus asking me to do today?” Maybe he would like for me to spend time reading the Bible. Maybe he would like for me to greet my husband, when he came home from work with a surprise of a beautiful dinner, and a wife that was elegantly dressed.

Maybe Jesus is asking someone, to be a better employee. Maybe instead of going into work and complaining all day, you might show appreciation for the boss who pioneered in – your employment.

Maybe you are a teenager who Jesus is telling to do some extra chores around the house, to free up your parents time. Maybe Jesus is asking all of us to show more appreciation to our Pastor.

Whatever Jesus is asking you to do, just do it. Abundant joy follows obedience.
