Long Suffering.

PSALM 105:17-19

“He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a Servant:

18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in Iron:

19 Until the time that his word came: the word of The Lord tried him.”

Have you ever had a garden, or a flower bed? A place where you purposefully planted something, with the complete and full goal of receiving exactly what you planted? I think we have all tried this, to one degree or another. My attempt at this was planting tulips, in a place where I later found out – do not thrive; nor will they make it. Funny, isn’t it? We try our hearts out, but sometimes the results are completely flat.

I bet you never thought about the process of growing long suffering, have you? This is not a fruit we even care to have on our personal trees, is it? We will take the joy, the life more abundantly program, and by all means – prosperity. But, don’t you come in through the front door announcing that the season has arrived, and God is looking for patience through suffering; that will be planted; in order to bloom the beautiful flower called “Long Suffering.”

I bet if we could see the beauty in this flower, we would embrace the seasons of doing without, while waiting for the promises of God to manifest.

We know by scripture that Joseph was planted, in long suffering, and was brought forth a refined and chiseled young man; to properly lead a nation into prosperity, security and safety. May we allow God to plant us, where we need to be; to bring forth what must come into the earth through our lives. I am sure it will be beautiful, in the end.

Describe the season, you are currently in.

ENJOY YOUR JOURNEY.
